MISSION STATEMENT
The intent of Carson City Beauty Academy is to create a professional environment strong in academic and practical learning opportunities.

The primary emphasis is on adult education. All facets of the training are designed to promote learning. Client services are important to the corporation, but the major purpose is to provide on-the-job training for our students.  The academy maintains a posture of integrity and professional ethics in the community and in relationships to the other beauty schools in the area.  The school does not recruit students already attending or admitted to another school offering similar programs of study. All promotion and advertising clearly state this business as one of a beauty school.

All literature distributed is of high quality both in accuracy of representation and its intent to communicate to the public. There are separate books for the following records:

1.Accounts payable and receivables;
2.Tax Returns;
3.Inventories;
4.Advertising;

Job Demand Survey 2007 - Results for Nevada

Since 1990, NACCAS has commissioned several Job Demand Surveys, to provide quantitative data on cosmetology careers, earnings potential, and job openings.  The most recent survey, completed in May 2007, compiles data from 6,203 salons responding to a national survey.

The 2007 Job Demand Survey results indicate that salons in Nevada plan to hire 4,371 new employees in the next twelve months.  The average annual salary for a salon professional in Nevada is $45,164.  This amount does not include tips and gratuities.  Nationally, the average salon professionalís salary is $35,973.

Most importantly, 70 percent of Nevada salon owners who attempted to hire new employees in 2006 said they were unable to find properly-trained applicants.  This means that jobs would be immediately available for salon professionals.

As of January 2007, there were 20,832 professionals employed at Nevadaís 2,583 salons.  35 percent of salons in the state are employer-owned, and 44 percent are booth-rental salons.  The other 21 percent are a combination of the two.
